The next time you're out driving and listening to the radio, and the news comes on with another media person having shivers up his leg because his messiah is blathering on about something that you know is just gonna piss ya off, or you flip on the television and the messiah's face is staring at the camera with an assholish expression, here's a handy expression you can use:
Va fa'n'cul
Now, that's the correct spelling of a slang term in Sicilian. Popular pronounciation would look more like this:
Ba fangu
If you've ever watched the Sopranos, or a movie like the Godfather, or lived in or near an Italian neighborhood, you've undoubtedly heard this expression.
It goes well when mixed with a Sicilian salute: stick your right arm out, make a fist, put your left hand in your right elbow, and then drive your right fist straight up in the air.
So, don't get all stressed out or overly angry, just look the hawaiian honky in the eye and give him a nice Sicilian salute mixed with a strong forceful "va fa'n'cul".
Above all, have a great day!
For those who may be wondering what va fa'n'cul means, it's a sicilian colloquialism that means roughly "go do yourself in your ass".

Breaking News
Okay, so I'm reading the morning newspaper and on page 2 of the Kansas City Star I'm greeted with this headline:
Dole gets skin graft on leg
Well, guys, thank you for telling me that. My life is so much better now. I am thrilled to be able to pass this nugget on to other people.
What the hell do I need to know this for? Are there no other news items of real importance to pass on to the readers?
What is the government doing? What's the status of the latest bills going through Congress? What is our dear leader up to today? My gut tells me it may be something that the majority of the nation will not like, hence its absence in the news today. God forbid our newly elected messiah gets a chink in his armor.
In case you point out that the title I posted earlier was a page 2 article, and that I need to look on the front page for the real news, allow me to illustrate the breaking headlines on page 1:
Just wait till 2012, KC Okay, promising title, but sadly, it's not about Obama getting beat in that year's election. Rather, it's some boring tale about what the Royals may or may not do in 2012.
Medicare is slow to collect money Like I didn't know that government bureaucracy was inefficient. Either the Kansas City Star is staffed with idiots who never realized that before, or they're deliberately trying to insult my intelligence.
How do businesses see reform proposals?Okay, this is a real gem. Here, the paper wastes two pages on a story that delivers to me the brilliant analysis that "companies from large to small aren't unified in their lobbying efforts." Really? No kidding? I never would have guessed that businesses, like people, reflect a variety of opinions on a topic.
Lastly, here's this gem:
'Judge Judy' hears barkeep's beef Again, why the hell do I need to know this? I can't believe that in the entire country there's not one single news item that would trump this story. C'mon!
With junk like this greeting people regularly, it's no wonder that newspaper sales are shrinking along with the size of the paper itself.

Michael Jackson's Gone
Finally. They buried Michael Jackson, and maybe we can get on with other vastly more important topics and issues. It won't surprise me though if over the next week or so we are inundated with footage of true believers lining up outside wherever they lay his body to rest. Remember Graceland?
That being said, the media was slick over the last two weeks. They barrage us with unending testimonials about Wacko Jacko, and meanwhile the government is busy in activities they would rather we didn't notice.
Items the government would rather you didn't know:
An attempt is being made as we speak to hurry through a treaty with Russia by bypassing the Senate's constitutional treaty ratification power. Yes, our dear leader would like to sign off on the deal without having to jump through the normal hoops. In his mind, he's justified. After all, he WON, didn't he?
An amendment to bill H.R. 2647 would force the military to refuse enlistment to anyone who has any problems with the federal government. If one has ever posted an opinion such as the need for the federal government to be downsized, then under this amendment, that individual would be barred from enlisting in the military, and if he were already in the military, would be promptly dishcharged on the grounds that such an opinion constitutes hate speech.
A new bill has been introduced which would define anyone who voices criticism of the federal government, favors states rights over federal power, opposes illegal immigration, and opposes abortion, as being a potential terrorist. That same bill also calls for the establishment of emergency detention centers where presumably those potential terrorists can be contained. Can anyone say Gulag?
Folks, the need to remain vigilant of everything the federal government is doing has never been greater. We need to keep them under a microscope and shout it to everyone as loud as we can. We can't accept anything our dear leader Obama, or any member of the federal government for that matter, says on face value. Remember, the government is our servant. It is there to protect our rights, not to strip them away. We must remain vigililant lest the beast escape the confines of its cage and imprison us.

The Never-Ending War
Some days it's hard keeping from getting discouraged by all that's happening in America today. Economic troubles, the democrats gleefully passing all manner of legislation with no one to really oppose them, President Obama going abroad and 'apologizing' for America's faults and actions and putting the interests of our enemies over our allies, and other problems serve to demoralize and depress many Americans across the land.
We should not lose hope, though. Many Americans are opposed to the socialist agenda of the democrats and are making their voices heard, through telephone calls, emails, and regular mail to their representatives and senators and the president. Tea party demonstrations are being held across America. Those who are Internet savvy post regularly on their blogs and their webcasts and on sites like YouTube, where they decry the unconstitutional actions on the part of the federal government. Everyday, Obama and the democrat party are slipping in the polls. They will have a hard time of it come the election next year.
No matter how tough it gets, we should not lose hope or let ourselves become discouraged. Our forefathers faced the prospect of death for taking a stand against the English crown, and in their struggle they won our freedom. Today, we face less danger, but the challenge to our freedom is no less. We need to look to the founding fathers of our great nation and follow their examples, and let their words fire us up.
Every generation faces those who would extend their power over the lives of others. We must stand and resist such individuals and organizations. It is a never-ending war, and we must not be afraid to stand up and do our part.
